Faith and Domestic Violence

We know your faith is important to you, and important in your relationships. And we encourage you to exercise your faith for the courage, hope, and healing it brings you.

As with other things, an abuser may twist and use beliefs to control you, and sometimes our spiritual leaders don’t understand domestic violence either. No one should suffer abuse for any reason, including under the covering of faith.

Faith and spirituality can be a great source of strength, as well as a resource survivors may use in safety and healing.
